Tunics

Kokiri Tunic
Part of Link's default outfit, the Kokiri Tunic is also his signature article of clothing. It contains no special powers, unlike the Goron and Zora Tunics. He basically wears it because if he didn't, the game would no longer be rated E. >.o

Goron Tunic
The Goron Tunic was given to Link by young Link of the Gorons. It protects Link's body from extreme heat, but unfortunately, not fire itself.

Zora Tunic
The Zora Tunic was bestowed upon Link as a token of gratitude by King Zora. After Link freed the king from a block of red ice, he received the Zora Tunic, which allows him to breathe underwater for an indefinite amount of time.

Gauntlets

Silver Gauntlets
Originally, young Link was supposed to retrieve the Silver Gauntlets for Nabooru, but the witches Koume and Kotake captured her before he could present them. Link held on to the gauntlets, and when he journeyed seven years into the future, was finally old enough to wear them. The Silver Gauntlets give Link greater strength, and he can lift and push objects much larger than himself.

Golden Gauntlets
The Golden Gauntlets are an upgrade to the Silver Gauntlets, letting Link move any huge object. They were found within the Shadow Room of Ganon's Castle.

Boots

Kokiri Boots
Part of Link's default outfit, the Kokiri Boots serve no other purpose than footwear. However, I find it funny they are called "Kokiri" Boots, as I don't remember seeing any Kokiri wearing them.

Iron Boots
Link found the Iron Boots in a treasure chest located inside the ice cavern near Zora's Fountain. They are heavy enough to keep Link on a lake's floor and can also stand up to high winds. The Iron Boots should not be worn for every day adventuring, however, as it is impossible to get anywhere in them on dry land.

Hover Boots
Link acquired the Hover Boots within a small maze in the Shadow Temple. They allow him to float for short distances, extending his jumping ability.

Shields

Deku Shield
The Deku Shield is used by young Link only and is part of his default outfit. It is susceptible to fire and will disintegrate if touched by flames.

Hylian Shield
Both young and adult Link can equip this shield, although adult Link can utilize it best. The Hylian Shield can be bought at a weapons shop, or one can be found in a secret grotto under a grave in Kakariko Graveyard. It can withstand fire.

Mirror Shield
The Mirror Shield was found in the Spirit Temple by adult Link. Its mirrored surface allows for light to reflect perfectly and it also has the power to contain or reflect energy, then shoot it back at an enemy.
