The Legend of Zelda: The Three Swords
By: Rémi-Patryk
Chapter 3: Escape
The three holders of the triforce reappeared inside the chamber of time in
the temple of time... None of the three were sure what was expected of
them... The triforce symbol glowing on the back of their left hand..
"Maybe we should leave now ..." Kyul said in a very low voice, still in the
emotion of what just happened to him...
"It would be nice, but there is a problem... We might have to deal with the
Hylian army waiting for you outside that door," Link said in a sarcastic
voice.
"I might be able to reason with them," Zelda said... "After all, I am their
princess.."
"I doubt that's a good idea... They will think you have gone mad wanting to
leave the Kingdom with your...Killer," Kyul explained...
"Those DAMN sages can never make you reappear somewhere that would make
things simpler.." Link said giving an ominous look to the roof of the
temple..
Zelda, gazing at her hand, finally said, "Hey, we hold the triforce, don't we?
So why can't we just use its power..."
Link replied, "Believe me you do NOT want to try that without practice... We
could end up destroying the temple."
Kyul, lost in his dreams, said, "Let's just let them capture us then it will be
easier to get out when they are not expecting it."
Link, not believing what he was hearing, said, "You cannot be serious! They will
execute you, imprison me and force Zelda to marry some kind of stuck-up
prince..."
Kyul, with a grin, answered, "The first two are not really a problem. I planned
to break out before they could do that... The third, I can do something to
prevent her from being identified."
"As I explained to you earlier, Kyul, I hate your smile...And by the way, Zel,
it cannot be a good thing for you," Link replied.
"How are you planning to hide me, Kyul?" Zelda asked trying to ignore Link.
"The Sheikahs were masters in the art of stealth and hiding... A simple
magic Sheikah outfit similar to the one I am wearing right now, but with a face
covering will do the trick for sure... Its magic powers will even change
the color of your eyes and change your voice. They will only see you as my
companion...That's not a good thing in the circumstances, but it will have to
do..."
"Ok fine, but it would be better for you that it works," Zelda replied
Kyul gave the clothing to Zelda who proceeded to dress up in the blue
Sheikah uniform...
"How do I look?" Zelda asked in a man's voice... The voice and the deep red
eyes gave Link and Kyul an uneasy feeling ... Link, because he had already
seen this "Memories I never thought I would see again," he whispered... And
Kyul, because it was weird to imagine that under that armor of clothing and
bandages there was a woman...
"Fine...Just fine," Link answered as he got ready to open the door of time
with his ocarina....
TEMPLE OF TIME (outside the room of time)
The King of Hyrule was really concerned... How could those murderers open
and close the door of time.... Why did they hide in there... What were they
doing in there that caused the ground to shake...
As he was speaking to his scholars about alternate ways to open the door of
time, a melody that the King knew all too well began to resonate in the
temple, it was the song of time... The door began to glow in a sharp silvery
blue color...
As the door of time slowly open, he ordered his soldiers to get ready...
One of the warriors had knocked out about 100 troops by himself!!! They
would not give him the chance to do so this time...
When the light finally stopped, three men were standing in the opening...
One was the presumed killer, the other a young man who looked somewhat
familiar, and the last one was a man who he had never seen before..
"ARREST THEM!" the king cried out.
He was very surprised when the three men who were arrested offered no
resistance and gave up their weapons very gently ... One of them had
flattened a big part of his royal guard. Why did they not try escaping now?
The important thing, though, was that he had captured his daughter's killer...
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
HYRULE CASTLE'S DUNGEON
Kyul was sitting against the wall of his cell. His hands had been chained
to the wall in a manner that he could never get comfortable; this was
getting to his nerves... He looked up to his hand, the symbol of the triforce
was glowing a light golden color... He knew he had the power to get out of
there but he knew it could cause a lot of damage if he did the wrong
thing.... Being in that position tortured him having the power to leave but
being unable to do it....
Kyul's cell door opened... A guard entered. "Hey you! The King wants to talk
to you...So get up now."
Kyul spited his answer, smiling. "Well I hope you're smart enough to figure out
that I can't get up if I am bolted to the wall like that.."
The guard's reply was a kick in the ribs.. The guard then said, "I hate your face, I hate
your smile, and I hope that they kill you slowly.."
"I thought you would..." Kyul replied ...another kick in the ribs...
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I've become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
Link was gathering his forces. He had just being interrogated by the king...
It had been rather rough, he was bleeding from the nose and the mouth...His
ribs were bruised and sore.. They had to get out of there soon...Or they
would execute Kyul...
As a guard was entering Link's cell to give him his meal, he gathered the
rest of the strength that he had left and kicked him on the side of the
right knee... The man fell down and his face met Link's knee, who was going
up... He was out cold... Now for the keys...
Zelda was in her cell... It was cold, uncomfortable, and wet! The King, her
father, had interrogated her for at least an hour about his daughter's
whereabouts... She had never seen her father in such a wrath... Zelda
almost revealed herself to him but she remembered that she could not or her
integrity as a triforce carrier would be compromised. She was wondering how
she could get out of there. Maybe she could try to use the triforce to blow
the door open... As she was thinking about the consequences of her using
the power of the triangles, the door to her cell opened and the guard stumbled
inside, tailed by Link. "Hey Zel." He threw a Deku Nut on the ground and
before she knew it, they were gone. When Link stopped, he quickly explained,
"Ok, go find the rest of your stuff and Kyul's. I will go get him... Oh, and
wait for us in the back alley of the market..."
Kyul was bleeding, both his eyes were black and his whole face was swollen,
and probably the only thing that kept his ribs from being broken was the
healing power of the triforce ... The king slowly approached him and said
"I hate what this had to come to...All of this can stop now if you tell
me where you hid her body... Or we can go on, it is your choice..." he said
in a light calm voice.
Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly afraid to lose control
Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I've become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
"How many times will I have to tell you she is not dead? Actually, she is
way closer than you think.." The king turned around and shook his head with
a disgusted look on his face. He did a little sign with his hand to the
guards as he was climbing back on his throne... "We have evidence that she
is dead.. And that you are the killer," the king explained. The guards
carried on beating him for a while, then the King instructed them to take him
back to his cell... "We might get some more from him tomorrow," he said,
totally depressed...
And I know
I may end up failing too
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I've become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
As the guards were carrying Kyul back to his cell, Link, who had escaped
along with Zelda, followed them stealthily... After they threw Kyul back in
his cell, Link attacked. The leading guard turned around facing Link, who had
an arrow loaded on his bow.. Link asked, "Hey, aren't you the one who was
beating me?" On those words he let the arrow fly... It hit the leading guard
point blank. He flew backwards knocking another guard down... He got rid of
another one with an energy slash with his sword and as the last one was
getting up and around drawing his sword, Link punched him, sending him flying
through the air landing heavily on the stone floor...
"Hey Kyul, how are you?" Link asked imitating Kyul's grin. "Shut up and carry
me outside, I can barely walk..." Kyul said, ignoring Link. "Awww, come on, I
thought you had a sense of humor.." Link said giggling... "And I thought you
were a warrior with honor... Now can you tell me where my weapons are?"
Link sighed and took Kyul on his shoulder...
"Where is our friend the Sheikah?" Kyul asked whispering. "He went to get our
horses," Link whispered back ...
As they turned the corner, they were intercepted by a squad of the royal
guard, about fifteen of them... "Not good," Link said, dropping Kyul on the
ground.
"Hey be careful, you're getting closer to breaking my ribs than those
stupid guards were," Kyul let out in a cry of pain... Link could not stop
himself from laughing. Kyul would never change...
Link unsheathed his sword and as he did, he slashed downwards, shattering an incoming enemy sword.. The
guards backed off, scared of Link's power. Link was still waiting for them in
a battle stance. But then Link put his sword and shield away in one swift
movement and said, "I am dearly sorry that I cannot stay to fight, but I
really have to leave." The guards were astonished to see the two prisoners
disappear in the flash of a deku nut...After that incident, to Link and
Kyul's surprise, they encountered minuscule resistance as they made their way
through the dungeons. At least nothing that the Master Sword in Link's hands
could not handle...
HYRULE CASTLE MARKET
Zelda was worried. She was hidden in the back alleys of the market with the
horses and Kyul's equipment. But she did not think it was a good decision
of Link's to send her to get the horses while he got Kyul... She thought that
she would have trouble escaping the vicinity of the castle because of the
high alert and the pain in her ribs, but she was so used to sneaking out of the
castle that it was not as bad as she thought it would be... Getting the
horses and Kyul's equipment was another story... She had to knock out a few
guards and get a key to the stables and the armory ...
There was a loud thud as two figures in black jumped from the roof of a
close building. Zelda quickly drew her sword and pointed it inches from the
first man's neck. "What, you're not happy to see me?" the man asked...
"LINK... I thought that they had caught you!" Zelda exclaimed. "Aww, you
shouldn't worry like that. You know that no one has ever caught me," Link
answered, giggling as he was helping Kyul on his horse... Zelda sighed and
started galloping towards the exit.. Link laughed, and he too left the back
alley followed by a groggy Kyul.
"Where are we headed to, Link?" Kyul asked as they were slowly passing
through the market.... Link answered, whispering, "Well, first I want to leave
the castle with a low profile." As he spoke those words, an arrow hit the
shield on Link's back, bouncing off and falling to the ground. "Forget what I
just said and run for it!" Link cried out, taking his bow from Epona's
side... He loaded an arrow, magically lighting it with fire.. He looked at
the drawbridge. Zelda was trying to buy Link some time. Kyul was going for the
field being unable to help, he was too weak to fight..
Link was ready to fire, but he did not know where the sniper was. Guards were
rushing to intercept him... "Not enough time," Link thought as an arrow
found its way to Link's shoulder. "Ahhhhhhh!" The pain was burning through
his left arm and down his back. He barely had enough strength to let his
arrow go, but he did... Out of pure luck that only Link can have, his arrow
hit the enemy sniper right in the chest, the fire from the arrow burned
through his flesh and the strength of the hit sent him flying off the roof
of the house he was hiding on... The pain was leaving Link now, he was
actually feeling better... The triforce symbol on his hand was glowing an
intense golden aura...
Zelda was on her feet fighting fiercely the guards who were trying to raise
the drawbridge. She was doing things she did not even dream she would be able to
pull off. She was sending waves of energy with her sword and blocking
attacks of many guards at the same time... Right now she was able to hold
them off the drawbridge's commands, but more were on their way. She had sent
Kyul and her own horse out on the field where it was safer.. She jumped
over one guard and rolled over into another one, tripping him. She then
looked towards the market to see how Link was doing. Just as she looked, she
saw Link being hit by an arrow, Link's own arrow left his bow.
"LIIIIIIIIINNNKK!" she cried. But just as she thought that Link was falling
off his horse, he drew the master sword and held it up in the air, the
Triforce triangle letting a very powerful golden light out of the hand that
was holding his sword... Link's horse reared up with him holding the
legendary blade in the air. He looked like an angel of pure light.
Kyul felt pure healing energy passing through him as he reached his hand
for his sword. As he gripped it and started to unsheath it, his wounds began to
heal with an unnatural speed. The triforce symbol was starting to glow
stronger, too .. He looked towards the castle. Link was holding the master
sword high in the air and Zelda was looking at him, sword in hand, but a guard
was sneaking towards her... He quickly took his bow and loaded an arrow. He
did not have time to light it with energy, so he just shot it towards the
target and he did not wait to see the result. He got off his horse and began
to run towards the bridge..
Zelda was still gazing at Link, amazed by what was happening, when she saw a
guard fall besides her, an arrow through his head and his sword besides him.
As this happened, she snapped out of her trance and looked around. Kyul had
amazingly recovered from the injuries he suffered while he was tortured and
he was running towards the drawbridge, which was being closed in by the
guards, and five of them were coming her way... She looked at her left hand,
the triforce triangles were glowing intensely. "I have the power," she thought
and charged towards the surprised guards...
Kyul was running as fast as he possibly could. He should have brought his
horse but it was safer for ShattenJager to stay behind. Kyul asked for help
from the triforce's power. When he jumped on the bridge, he unbelievably fell
right on it and rolled down, he then rose up into a battle stance, shield in
one hand and sword in the other, the triforce glowing on the back of his
hand... He assessed the situation... Link was digging gaps in the Hylian
guards' lines with every slash, but he was about to be overrun by them...
Zelda was fighting the guards with precision. Every guard who was touched by
her blue sword was being sent flying towards the stonewalls. "I think Link
would appreciate my help a little more," he thought with a grin, and he ran
towards Link...
Link felt the power of the sacred triangles run through his body, guiding
his instincts, healing his injuries and giving him power to fight over and
over... There must have been at least twenty or more soldiers attacking him,
but he was holding them off... The master sword was feeling light as he was
swiftly slashing and blocking, destroying every weapon that was in range to
hurt him. Link looked towards the draw bridge; it was raised up. "Damn it,
this adventure is too young to die now, " he desperately thought... But a
flare of hope ran through him when he saw that Kyul was making his way to
help him. Then as he was fighting, someone he did not see nor feel, hit him
from behind knocking him to the ground. When he rolled and got up, he was
facing two very large and apparently well-trained Hylian Knights. "This
cannot be good," he whispered as he engaged the two of them.
Kyul thought he would never make it through the crowd of guards. He was
using more magic and energy than he had ever used before, but he felt that he
would never run out. His sword was lighter than it ever was before, and he
was stealthily making his way through the guards, avoiding, if possible, to
kill them... But then when he was almost to an arms length of Link, a very
strong fist nailed him to the ground. He had the wind knocked out of him.
If it was not for the power of the triforce, he would probably have been
knocked out cold. He stumbled back to his feet only to encounter the
powerful fist of his attacker, but this time he was ready. He back-flipped out
of reach and kicked his opponent in the face. The knight fell backwards
upon the impact of Kyul's foot... When he got back up from the ground, he
looked at Kyul straight in the eyes. It was the first time in the short fight
they could actually size each other up. The man who was attacking Kyul was
a Hylian Knight. He was very tall and had very big arms. He carried a large
sword and an oversized Hylian shield... "This should be interesting," Kyul
thought... They charged into each other in a clash of weapons.
Zelda had gotten rid of all the guards close to the bridge and she had cut
the chains that held the drawbridge shut. Now it was stuck in the open
position... Satisfied with her work, she looked towards Kyul and Link; Link was
trying to fight off two Hylian Knights and he was not doing especially well,
Kyul was fighting a single knight. He had the decisive advantage, thanks to
the triforce... As she was going to help Link and Kyul fight the knights,
the King Harkininan of Hyrule, her own father, walked right in front of her.
He held an old, but still sharp sword, and was wearing armor... "Your
companion took my daughter's life, he shall die... To prevent his death you
will have to take my own life first," he calmly said... Zelda could not
believe her ears, she could not fight and kill her own father! But she
could not stay there and watch Kyul and Link get chopped to pieces...
Kyul was slashing, blocking, jumping, diving and rolling. He was cut right
over the eye and on the chest. They were only minor cuts though, and the
triforce was healing him... That knight, though, was not doing as well. There
were deep cuts in his shield and his sword was crippled.. "You can stop
right now and I will not have to hurt you.. It doesn't need to go this far.
Just let us go and stop the fight!" Kyul yelled desperately, wanting to
stop fighting... "I will die for the honor of my king," The knight replied
as he charged towards Kyul, driven by rage... As he passed by, Kyul rolled on
his shield and swung his sword at the knight's legs. Blood splashed as the
sword cut through the soft human flesh. The knight fell to the ground
screaming in pain. Kyul got up and looked at the knight.. "Kill me please, I
do not deserve to live!" the knight yelled... "You do deserve to live, to
form a family who will live to protect this sacred land...have a nice day,"
Kyul answered as he turned back to help Link...
Link was in bad shape. His nose was bleeding and he was cut pretty badly in
some places. He could not take a breath, as both knights attacked him from
all sides, slicing, stabbing, punching and slashing... One of them did a
downcut with his sword. Link blocked him with his shield, then the second
one slashed sideways towards Link's ribs. He barely parried him with his
sword. It loosened his focus enough for an opening to create itself close
to his chest. The first knight kicked him, causing Link to fall to the
ground, then the knight swung his sword down towards his face. Link barely
had time to put the Master sword in the way... The second knight was about
to impale him to the ground, but just as he was commencing his stabbing
motion, Kyul, who jumped out of nowhere, tackled him down. Link took the
distraction to kick the guard who was holding him down in the knee. There was
a satisfactory crack. The knight fell down in pain... Link got up only to
see Kyul give a head butt to the second Knight, knocking him out cold.. Link
punched the first Knight and knocked him out, too.. "Thanks for the hand,
Kyul," Link said as he was getting up.. "Not a problem, anytime you need
me," Kyul said with a grin...
Zelda was making sure she would not hurt her father in the fight, but she
could not defend herself forever. She was relieved when she saw that Kyul
and Link had being able to get rid of the threat towards them, now she was
concerned for her own safety... Link and Kyul were now coming towards her and
ready to leave; she had to end this now... She swung strongly at her
father's sword, the energy shattered it and the defeated King fell to the
ground. Zelda seized him by the scruff of the neck and said, "I could kill
you, but I will not and know that your daughter is not dead and is carrying
out her destiny." With those words, she ran towards the bridge, followed closely
by Link and Kyul.
As the sun was setting on a very meaningful day in three teenagers' destinies,
Link was riding Epona galloping at a neck breaking speed towards the lost
woods, tailed by Kyul on SchattenJager and Zelda on her white stallion named
Snow. They were riding towards the woods to escape Hyrule before the army
could get ahold of them. They had plenty of destinations in mind, but they
would go with the flow and find the one that suited them the best later,
because right now it was time to run.... They passed the Kokiri village in
a flash of brown, black and white. When they felt they were far enough in
the forest, they slowed down and turned around, giving a last good look to
the Kingdom of Hyrule for a while.... Zelda and Kyul began to make for the
deepest part of the woods, Link stayed behind. He looked at his homeland. He
did not even have time to go see old friends, it was too quick...
MYKARNIA CASTLE
The King Morden was weary. His plan was not going as well as he expected. The
Hylian sages were more intelligent than he thought and had outsmarted his
plan for his son to marry the princess Zelda. He was now dead. But this mere
inconvenience was no problem for him. "Ishkael, come here," he said. "Master,
how can I please you?" a dark cloaked and disfigured person asked. "I, in my
dreams, saw what we seek in the possession of three young men. Eliminate
them with whatever force necessary and bring it to me," the King said in a
cold, bone chilling voice. "Whatever your wishes are my lord, I will pursue
them," Ishkael answered with a cruel grin... Far was he to know what he was
getting into...
LOST WOODS
"Where to now, Link?" Kyul asked.
"I really don't know, Kyul, but I think we might want to set up camp close
to here for the night. What do you think Zel?" Link replied.
"Oh...hem.. well why do you ask me, Link?" Zelda said.
"Well, since you are part of our group, you might want to have a say in what
we do," Link replied laughing....
"Actually Link, I think we should go on for a few more hours. There is a
village in the woods not far from here. The mayor will let us in... I think,"
Kyul said. Link laughed and answered, "Ok, fine. We will do that, but you better be
right.."
"I, too, say go for the village and a comfortable Inn," Zelda added... The
group changed directions and headed deeper into the woods...
The Mayor of Nishcana was gazing out of his window when the guard announced
that three men were asking for his approval to enter the town... Nishcana
was a rather large village; it was the doorway to the great plains of Stala,
so it usually had a lot of tourists and travelers, but this was now the off
season and he did not know what to expect.... So he came down to the main
gate, intrigued, and asked the sentinels to open it...
"Dupont, my dear friend, how are you?" Kyul said as he jumped to give a big hug
to the Mayor. "GET OFF ME, KYUL!" the Mayor yelled. Zelda and Link were
giggling in the back.. "Hey, where did 'being nice to travelers' go?" Kyul
asked as the Mayor pushed him back... "I thought that I asked you to go
away," Mayor Dupont said, staring at Kyul's smile... "Well, I figured I could
pay you back what I owe you if you let me and my friends stay a few nights
in your Inn," Kyul said still smiling. "I guess I could let you people stay,
but only IF Kyul pays me back what he borrowed from me, and the damage he did
the last time he was here. Plus, I want absolutely NO trouble," the Mayor said,
obviously annoyed by what was happening. He went on, "I always hate it when
you smile like that Kyul, stop now." The mayor turned back and started
walking towards his house, "You're not the only one," Link said still
laughing...
As they were unpacking in the Inn room, Link asked Kyul, "So it was a rather
large amount you owed him. What kind of damage did you do?" Kyul grinned and
answered, "Well, this village has a nice little tavern and I went to
take a drink, and, well, I was enjoying myself and then some men came in and
asked me to leave my table... I obviously refused, and they then attempted to
flush me out... I sort of resisted and knocked them out on a table and the
counter... What I did not know was that they were, humm.. The mayor's sons and
he did not appreciate me toying with them like that." Link had to hold
himself from laughing. "I see," he said...
"Hey boys," Zelda said. She had removed her cloak revealing she was a woman.
"Yes," they both answered in unison.. She continued, "I think that you boys
should not call me Zelda anymore, it might spark rumors... A thing we do not
want." "I agree." Link said.
"Why don't we call you, errr.. Mikel like my father," Kyul said. "Sounds good,"
Link said. "Mikel hun... I like it," Zelda said with a grin. "You better like
it!" Kyul said laughing...
They finished unpacking their equipment, thinking about what they had gone
through in the last few days...
"Hey, I'm hungry.. Where did you say that tavern was, Kyul?" Link asked. "Well,
we might not be welcomed there since I thrashed the place... But there is a
very nice restaurant not far from here..." Kyul answered. "Go for the
restaurant," Zelda said. They all left their room and Link locked the door
behind them...
As they walked through the village, a figure followed them... He thought they
seemed like good prey... But he was hesitant, one of the boys was dressed up
like the one that had seen him coming and beaten him ... It had never
happened before, and he did not know what kind of power had been able to
detect him, but it had happened. This time though, he would get him, him and
his friends.
Kyul felt a cool chill go down his spine... He looked down at the triforce
emblem on the back of his hand. It was glowing a little more than usual. He
knew exactly what was going on. "Won't this guy ever learn?" Kyul
thought.. He kept on walking though, Link and Mikel, aka Zelda, were having a
conversation on where to go next. They were too absorbed by the subject to
notice Kyul's attempts to warn them that an unwürdiger was approaching...
Unwürdigers were Schatten Reiters who had defected to the Ylham troops
during the massacre and betrayed their friends and family... They were
insane persons that carried on a life of killing and stealing, unable to
remember who they were... They were very dangerous persons. But one Schatten
Reiter cannot kill another Schatten Reiter, unwürdiger or not, or it could
kill them too...
The disfigured man approached the boy dressed in black with a dagger out,
unaware that it could kill him if he stabbed the boy... Just as he was about
to strike, Kyul unsheated the sword of light and slashed through the air. The
unwürdiger jumped back very quickly, but it did not prevent Kyul's sword to
shatter the dagger. Kyul walked quickly to the man and grabbed him by the
neck, his sword inches from the unwürdiger's head... "As I told you before, if
I could kill you, I would... Now leave here this instant and never come
back close to us," Kyul whispered. He threw the man in a pile of manure and
turned back to Link and Zelda's astonished eyes... "I will explain later,"
Kyul said coldly, and he walked away...
Link, Zelda, and Kyul had a great meal. They took that time to get to know
each other a little more. Kyul explained that the unwürdigers had helped in
the massacre and in the death of his parents. Zelda explained what pushed her to embark in this adventure, and Link explained what happened to
him in the last few years, save his trip into the future. He was not yet ready
to tell them...
MYKARNIA CASTLE
The King Morden was happier than he was a while ago. He had the symbols of
power of the most powerful kingdoms and lands, but the downside of his day
was that he did not have the one of the ruler Kingdom. But that would change
soon... And then he would rule all the worlds; Hyrule, Mykarnia, Termina, the
plains of Stala, the great ocean lands and many more.
The King entered the room where his council was sitting with a large
smile... "My dear governors, generals, mages, and my dear, dear, sons. Victory
is near," he said in his broken voice. Everyone broke out in applause... The
king raised his hand and everyone stopped immediately... "But a very small
obstacle stands in our way: the holders of the holy triforce." All the
audience was surprised. "I am sorry, your highness.. But did you say that the
triforce was carried by a person?" an obscure middle-aged man with red eyes
asked... The king answered, "I am always disappointed that you did not get my
mind powers, Kahel, my son. But yes, the sages outsmarted your deceased brother
Zildur and gave the triforce to three young men, but now I have sent my best men
after them and it will only be a matter of time before I get my hands on the
Triforce." "I see. If they capture them alive, may I corrupt them to serve
us, my lord?" Kahel asked. "That, my son, is one of the best ideas you have ever
had." the King said..
NISHCANA
Three Knights in black armor approached the village of Nishcana mounted on
dark, ominous-looking horses. It was really early in the morning, and the
sentinel guarding the door was half asleep... When he opened his eyes, he
let out a cry, "Ahhhh!" as he saw a very dark horse... He then asked, almost
scared to death, "M..m..m..mm..may I help y..y.y.you?" "Yes, you might..
