Lift Big Things with A!

 
Link kicked the chest, and because he is the Hero of Time, his feet double as skeleton keys. The lid slowly lifted open and a great white radiance emanated from inside. Link reached in and held in triumph the prize that lay inside.

Narrator: ~Bum bum bum! Bum bum bu bum bu bum!!~

Narrator: You've found the Silver Gauntlets! Now you can lift big things with A!

Link: Lift big things with A??

Link's mouth fell agape as he stared, speechless, at the magical gauntlets.

Link: How. Totally. Sweet!

Narrator: Yes, yes it is. Okay, I'll catch you at the Mirror Shield.

Link hardly noticed as the voice faded away. He was too busy trying to keep the large gloves on his tiny, thin, girlish -

Link: Hey!

...arms.

Link: Dammit, these don't fit at all!

Navi: Language, Link! And of course they don't fit. Nabooru told you they wouldn't fit a child!

Link: Did she? I must have been occupied by...something else.

Navi pursed her lips but said nothing. Link continued to stare in awe at the gauntlets on his hands; his arms elevated so they wouldn't slip off.

Link: Wait a minute... What is A and why can it help me lift big things? I thought these gauntlets were supposed to do that. Oh goddesses, my life is a LIE!!!

Navi: All that means is that you have to press A in order to use the gauntlets.

Link: But I'm wearing them, they should work automatically.

Link: And where is A?

Navi: It's right -- Um... It must be on the gauntlets somewhere.

Link: *looks at his arms* I think you're wrong.

Navi: I think you don't have a better idea, so don't knock mine! They're not yours, anyway. You're supposed to take them to Nabooru!

Far below, a spinning black whirlpool of death materialized outside the Spirit Temple. Nabooru struggled and screamed as she was slowly consumed. The witches, Koume and Kotake, circled above her, laughing manically.

Link: Hey... Isn't that Nabooru?

Navi: Oh... Yes, looks like it.

Nabooru let out one last screech before being completely overtaken by the sorceresses. The witches circled once more, then flew off in the direction of the desert.

Link: Huh.

Link: Looks like these gauntlets are mine now!
