Youth of a Nation
I never had real parents
I was adopted,
Rejected from my true blood.
Being substituted was fine,
My mother taught me to be strong
but I wonder if my biological father could teach me right from wrong.
I use my fists to fight,
Everyday, the same routine
Train, and Practice with all my might.
I feel different; I am not like the rest.
Rinoa, Squall, Selphie?
Maybe, Someday, I'll be the same, put to a test.
Call me Chickenwuss?
Coward, Seifer, I abhor you.
Sad it came to that, when I was younger, I admired you.
You seemed so reckless and daring,
Remember the time you tried to light the fireworks?
I wanted to do that, but I was that kid who just kept crying and staring.
Maybe I was just scared,
Or afraid of the consequences
I didn't wish for it to happen like that
I sometimes wanted to be loved.
Whatever it was I became myself.
I am one.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
Went to Balamb at only 13,
I wanted to be like my grandfather,
With every chance to excel.
I felt identical,
I wanted to leave a mark
One Night, I decided to leave proof of whom I was.
I met a guy, could tattoo the best in the entire world.
He helped me sterilize a needle and not cause any wound.
The design symbolizes my life
my pain, my glory, my control,
On the side of my face.
It will live on forever, even when I am done.
I stand proud.
At fourteen with something no one had,
I was respected and finally thought of.
I became a top SeeD,
Helping people in need,
and the weak, ever thought if I was one?
I had friends; I had my share of loves.
They come and go, but I stood still with some.
Independent I try to remain.
Instructors looked upon me once with shame,
I changed my ways,
I went with everything I could,
I challenged my foes and won with truth.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am called a prodigy among others.
No matter what they say,
It doesn't take my cause away.
I am here to stay; I am in my life.
My control, no one else's anymore.
I am no longer a blind kid, my eyes are open to the sin.
I guess that is how my story goes,
Will it ever make sense?
It progresses each minute,
There’s more to my life then this,
I wonder sometimes if I exist?
I think, therefore I am.
And who am I?
I am Zell Dincht
I am the only one, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation.
I am, I am, the youth of a nation…
