DaredevilZell: You know what I just realized? Emi: Yes, I am a psychic. Zell: ...I just realized that I almost never get the first say in these things. Emi: I'm sorry... Did you want the first say? Zell: Er...I guess. Emi: Well do you or don't you?? Time's a-wasting - we're not getting any younger! Zell: Yeah, I do! *throws hands in the air* GEEZ! Emi: *calmly* Go ahead then. Zell: Daredevil was a solid flick, but if you compare it to the recent Spider-Man...It kinda sucks. Emi: *nods in agreement* Emi: I honestly didn't think Daredevil had many fans. Before the movie came out, when was the last time someone mentioned Daredevil? Zell: I don't think I was born yet. Emi: I'm not saying that the movie was bad because many of us were clueless...because being clueless would be our own fault. ^^; Zell: All-in-all the movie was okay, but it lacked...something. Emi: It felt like there wasn't much plot, but it was going too quickly in some places and too slowly in others. Zell: And there wasn't much humor. Emi: You know I'm all for the humor. (Zell pauses, slumping in his chair.) Zell: This is a very dry review. Emi: How so? Zell: I dunno... We need more exclamation points or something. Emi: HOW'S THIS?!?!?!?!?!?! Zell: That's just annoying. Emi: Hrm. Emi: This!..? Zell: Uh...yeah, that's good. Emi: It's a pretty exclamation point. ^_^ Give it a kiss! Zell: *wrinkles brow* Wha? (Emi ignores him and faces the camera.) Emi: I didn't get attached to any of the characters. Zell: *stares* Emi: Oh, I forgot to say that I'm digressing. Emi: ...I'm digressing. (Zell lets out an exasperated sigh.) Emi: I don't mean to compare it to Spider-Man but... Wait a minute, yes I do. Zell: Can't you just accept movies for what they are and not have to compare them to the classics? How do you think that makes the movie feel?? Emi: Not...good? o_O Zell: Exactly. But go ahead. Emi: I felt the characters in Spider-Man were better developed. Or perhaps they were just more likeable. Zell: I have a feeling you're going to be getting some crazed Daredevil fans setting your email box aflame. Emi: ..... Emi: It's just my opinion. If they don't want my opinion they don't have to take it. Zell: But they will. Emi: Mm...Yes. (Emi and Zell sit quietly while Emi taps her fingers nervously on the arm of the chair.) Emi: Okay, I'm scared now. Zell: Don't worry about it. Emi: *chews on lip* ...There was too much blood. Zell: Blood is cool. Emi: *gives Zell a sideways glance* Uh...I guess. But for some reason I didn't enjoy this blood. And now I sound like some stereotypical teenager who plays too many gory video games and becomes "violent". Truth is, I don't play many violent video games...and I'm not violent. Not that violent games would make you violent, because I think that as long as you have a good mind- Zell: STOP! Stop, stop, STOP. Emi: Mmkay. Zell: I don't know where you're getting off on violence in video games, but we were talking about Daredevil. Emi: Daredevil was violent. Zell: But it's not a video game. Emi: I don't doubt it will be soon. Zell: ...True. Emi: But you're right. I've made a resolution to stay on topic. Zell: Ha! Emi: Now normally I would have gone off on a tangent and started an argument with you, but not anymore. I'm just going to ignore that remark and continue the review. Zell: Really? Emi: I did like some of the movie. Especially the part at the beginning where little Matt stopped Stan Lee from walking into the busy street. It was cute. ^_^ Zell: You're really going to ignore me? Emi: The special effects were awesome and the fight scenes weren't too shabby. However, I felt King Pin was too much in the background, so when Daredevil finally fights him it's like...so what? Zell: The villian kills some characters, but I didn't really care since they weren't shown enough to get attached to them. Emi: But despite its flaws, Daredevil was decent. I'm personally waiting for X-Men 2. Zell: What about The Hulk? Emi: I never was a big Hulk fan. No pun intended. Zell: The pun was stupid, anyway. Emi: I heard they're making a new Superman and Batman movie. Zell: How many is that now? Emi: I dunno, and I don't care. I love Batman movies. Zell: Not Superman? Emi: I like Superman...but I like Batman more. Zell: I think now would be a good time to wrap this up. ...So we don't go off talking about Batman or Superman or Captain Underpants or something. Emi: That was a lot of "or's". Zell: Yeah, it kinda was.
