Final Fantasy games like to recycle many of the same names and elements, and this holds true for Final Fantasy VIII. Here, I list anything relating to Zell that has appeared in other FF and Squaresoft games.

 
Limit Breaks
Zell's highest limit break is also Tifa's (VII) highest limit break, although her's is simply called "Final Heaven," instead of My Final Heaven. They both share limit breaks called Dolphin Blow and Meteor Strike, and Zell's Punch Rush is similar in name to Tifa's Beat Rush.

Weapons
Tifa and Zell share a weapon, the Metal Knuckle. Zell's highest weapon, Ehrgeiz, ("ambition" in German) is also the name of a Squaresoft fighting game, which features several FFVII characters.
